ATLANTA (January, 8 2024) – The law firm of Goggans, Stutzman, Hudson, Wilson & Mize, LLP, has elected Mechelle Montgomery-Bumpers and Brad Coppedge to the firm’s partnership.

Mechelle is chair of the firm’s Landlord-Tenant practice, where she counsels clients through all phases of the Landlord-Tenant relationship, including risk management and litigation services for her institutional clients. Mechelle practices out of the Atlanta-Sandy Springs office but serves clients throughout the state of Georgia.
Prior to her decision to pursue a legal career, Mechelle graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Cardiopulmonary Care Science from the University of South Alabama and worked at Atlanta’s Piedmont Hospital for 15 years. In 2008, she branched out as a Registered Neutral/Mediator and mediated Landlord-Tenant issues in 10 Georgia Counties. This work led her to obtaining her J.D. Degree. She graduated with the Highest Distinction from Georgia State University in 2010, where she was Vice President of the Student Trial Law Association.
Brad practices in the areas of Wills, Trusts, Estates and Corporate law out of the Columbus, GA office, but is regularly in the Atlanta offices as well serving the needs of his clients in the Metro Atlanta area. A native of Columbus, Brad has a strong commitment to the community and his many clients. He regularly speaks at both local and regional events on the topics of estate planning and choice of entity.
Brad received a bachelor’s of business education in Accounting from Mercer University, a J.D. degree from Mercer University School of Law and a Master of Laws in Taxation from the University of Miami School of Law. A member of the Georgia Bar since 1996 and the Alabama Bar since 1998, Brad is admitted to practice before the United States Tax Court. Brad is AVrated by martindale.com, with a 4.9/5.0 Peer and 5.0/5.0 Client rating. He also has an AVVO rating of a perfect 10.0. He was also recently recognized in The Best Lawyers in America for his work in Trusts and Estates.
